About the Voter Approval Tax Ratification Election
A Voter Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE) allows school districts to seek voter approval to access additional funding for day-to-day operations such as teacher salaries, academic programs, classroom materials, and facility upkeep.
The 2025 Rockport-Fulton ISD VATRE would increase the district’s tax rate by 6.32 percent and would raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $20.00.
The new funding is NOT subject to recapture.
100% will stay in Rockport-Fulton ISD.
