RFISD Board President Kenny CruzanKenny Cruzan - Board President

Kenny Cruzan has been a committed leader in the Rockport-Fulton community since moving to the area in 2002. He was appointed to the RFISD Board of Trustees in December 2018, elected in May 2019, and has since held key leadership positions, including Vice President in 2020 and 2021, and President in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Kenny is married to Erin Cruzan, a Rockport-Fulton graduate and former RFISD teacher. Together, they have two children—Camryn, a 2024 graduate of Rockport-Fulton, currently attending Texas A&M University in College Station, and Cason, a freshman at Rockport-Fulton High School.

A graduate of Magnolia High School, Kenny later moved to College Station to attend Texas A&M University, where he earned multiple degrees. During college, he worked as a Medic for the university and for a local 911 EMS service. While in College Station, Kenny met Erin, and they decided to move back to Rockport to raise their family.

Kenny's commitment to service began at the age of 18 when he volunteered as a firefighter and EMT in his hometown. His dedication to community service continued throughout the years as he served as a Young Life counselor, a coach for little league sports, and a board member for Aransas County EMS. These experiences reflect his lifelong dedication to building stronger communities through leadership and service.

As an RFISD board trustee, Kenny is deeply passionate about ensuring that every student receives a high-quality education that prepares them for success in college, career, and life. He is committed to supporting teachers, staff, and students working to make sure that RFISD remains the heart of the Rockport-Fulton community.

When not working, Kenny enjoys flying airplanes, boating and attending any athletic event.

RFISD Board Vice President Michaela AlstonMichaela Alston - Board Vice President

My name is Michaela Alston, and I have been happily married to my husband, Kyle, for 25 years. Together, we are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Kade, a high school senior; Kam, a junior; and Mamie, who is in 6th grade.

I was born and raised in Harlingen, Texas, and am a true “Valley Girl” at heart. After moving to the Dallas area, I graduated from Plano Senior High School and earned a degree in Education from Texas Tech University (Go Red Raiders!).

Seventeen years ago, we made the decision to move to Rockport, Texas. Growing up near the ocean, I have always felt a strong connection to coastal living. When Kyle and I started our family, we knew we wanted to raise our children in a small-town environment where they could form lifelong friendships, be known personally at school, and experience a strong sense of community. When we visited Rockport, it immediately felt like home, and it has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

I firmly believe that education is the foundation of all success. As someone passionate about lifelong learning, I am dedicated to ensuring every child has the tools they need to thrive. With three children in the public school system, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of providing the best possible education for all students. That’s why I am committed to being a voice for those who don’t have one and advocating for every child’s right to quality education as a trustee for RFISD.

When I’m not working or volunteering, I love spending time outdoors and staying active. GO PIRATES!

RFISD Board Vice Secretary Bonni RandallBonni Randall - Board Secretary

Bonni Randall is a dedicated wife, mother, and community member with a deep passion for supporting local education. She has been happily married to her husband, Frank, for 26 years. Together, they have a daughter, Billie, and her husband, Collin, as well as a son, Reece. Bonni grew up in a Navy family, which led her to live in a few different states before graduating from high school in Illinois.

Bonni met Frank while visiting family in California.  Frank had spent many summers in Rockport and graduated from RFHS in 1984. Despite their different beginnings, Frank has always considered Rockport home, and they eventually made it theirs as well.

A firm believer in the importance of public education, Bonni sees the local school system as a vital part of the community. It not only employs many people and connects families but also shapes the future through the education of young minds. She is driven to contribute to the school system by helping make it a source of pride for the community. As a member of the board, she wants to be a voice that understands the challenges faced by both staff and students daily.

In her free time, Bonni enjoys hunting and fishing, as well as immersing herself in books and audiobooks. She has a creative side, too, with hobbies like crocheting and experimenting with various artistic activities.

Logan’s commitment to serving as a trustee for RFISD stems from his passion for seeing positive growth within his community. He believes the school district plays a vital role in connecting and empowering local families, fostering a sense of pride, and shaping the future of its students. Logan is driven by a desire to work alongside district leadership to ensure that all students are provided with the opportunities they need to succeed—both now and in the future.
